No access to bathrooms, buffing the floor.
no access to break room, same reason.
THEN they had no windows open and refused to let us out or open the doors. Why? BC they were lacquering the floor and didnt want to ruin it.
the workers buffing the floor were all mexican and were freaking out bc we weren't suppose to be there, they were told no one would be there.
heres the thing. The smell from whatever chemical in it was so bad that I was gasping, coughing, eyes were watering, couldn't breathe, and think..heart was pounding..nauseous. I felt ILL. Okay so I put up with it s long as I could. 3 hrs. but at that point I wasnt making any sense in my calls. This was affecting like 10 other people...only 3 people stayed.
they had us working in hazardous working conditions, with no bathroom access.I feel so...hurt bc they didnt apologize to us, refuse to pay our hours we missed. They prorated us so we get our attendance bonus, and we got checked out by a doc who said they used the same chemical in their hospital but have better ventilation (we have none). i swear the hospital and the comp I work for were conspiring against us.
they tried to downplay how I felt and how others felt and it was so insulting. Its like..we were suppose to be grateful to them for not being permanently damaged by the chemical we breathed in for 3 hours. They said the only reason that many people left is because it was based on how sick others were.
how come the only people okay with the chemicals are the two people who stayed and are about to be fired anyway because they never do their job,or managers who either werent there or were there for 15-30 minutes.
Oh and we are suppose to trust both the cleaning comp and the cmp we work for because they are "national companies and can be trusted" Fuck. yeah right. Ever work for a copany called ABCM before? yeah.
I have to figure out what to do because this is bullshit. They were under direct osha violation and they know it.
